Just wanted to give an update for anyone that is still visiting about Maggie's puppies. Maggie got hit by a car and died right before Christmas. It was a really hard thing for both of us, especially Clint, since he was with her all the time. We had one puppie that we had not sold at the time. He wanted me to go ahead and sell her but I kept her for awhile. He slowly got used to Maggie being gone and is now very attached to her. We named her Abby. Just got back from the vet last night and she weighs 28 pounds. She has her mother's eyes. The vet said she had a really wonderful personality. A very precious little girl! She will be special in her own right, but will also keep Maggie with us.
I have received a lot of emails from the buyers of this litter and also previous ones. I really appreciate the pictures and the expressions of sympathy. I am so glad everyone is happy with their new puppies. It makes it easier with Maggie's loss to know that she had such wonderful puppies. Thank you all so much.
To those of you that keep in touch about another poodle, I am sorry we won't have any more. A couple years down the road, we might try to breed Abby with a standard poodle. I imagine they will be beautiful puppies if we do. I guess there was a reason we didn't breed with Bon Ami this time. Maggie and Bon Ami had beautiful puppies. We just might connect with him again.
Thanks again to everyone!
