We have our vet appointment for the puppies shots and checkup on Weds night, Aug 3. I told most of you it would be Thurs but the vet evening hours are on Weds, my mistake. Puppies will be ready for their new homes on Thurs. They are excited about the move :) ! It will be a big week for them . Six little ones are moving on. 4 are staying. It is always a big change for all of them. We will be meeting a few of you in Lexington NC of Saturday afternoon. If their is anyone else in that area that is thinking about a puppy, and doesn't want to travel very far, this is the day! Let us know.

I just posted the latest video. Shows them playing with a broom.
Sold a little boy tonight. We now have 2 boys and 2 girls left to find homes for. - They are almost 5 weeks old now, we are almost done weaning the puppies. Right on schedule so far. Things are going good. They spent most of the day outside today. Loved it. Really tired tonight though. Fresh air really zapped them! I promised several people that I would post a new video on Sunday, but I am having camera problems. Probably won't get the video up until Wednesday. I had to order a new part and I expect it them.
Puppies are doing great! Changing every day. Eating puppy food twice a day. Playing a lot more with each other and us! Starting to be a little crazy when we let them out. They are going farther all the time. This is when the fun starts! We try to let them outside about 1 - 1/2 hours a day ( 2 different intervals) for exercise. I think it gives us more exercise than it does them as they get older. They are getting their teeth in, I am going to have to quit wearing flippers when they are out. Those little teeth are sharp It's been close to 100 degrees here. HOT! Too hot to put my little guys out under the shade tree even! Had them out early this morning in a pen under the tree, but by ten, they were feeling the heat (even in the shade!). They loved it while they were there. I sat down in the grass and let them crawl all over me. They just love people! Earlier this week, I had a little girl over that was playing with them. Poodles are definitely people pleasers! And they already are begging to be held. Clint picked one up today, was talking to it and petting it, and when he put it down, it started whinning while sitting at his feet looking up at him. Just real sweethearts. They are starting to do the poodle prance already. Makes them look big!
We sold another little boy today. We now have 2 girls and 3 boys that are not spoken for yet. We started feeding watered down, smashed puppy food yesterday. Feeding them with teaspoons. After the first few minutes, they start getting the hang of it. Tonight they were doing pretty good with it. Probably another day or 2 and then we put them in front of a bowl of food. They usually do pretty good with it. We will see. This really helps them be more contented. With having 10 puppies, it starts being pretty hard for Maggie to keep them full. This makes them all happy!
They are starting to play a little with each other. Barking, walking around, it is amazing how fast they change after their eyes open. Really sweet! Had a busy day today. Had a yard sale this morning. I really do hate having yard sales. So much work, but got rid of lots of things that were taking up space!
Had a nice couple come down from Charlotte and look at the puppies. They put a deposit on one of our black male puppies. We now have 1 black male and one black female left. The puppies are really getting sweet! I was holding one for quite awhile while talking to them, and the little guy was purring like a kitten! So sweet. Even at this age, so contented when around people. Got to find homes for these little guys! I try not to get attached to them, but it is so hard. No way I can keep them all! Just got done worming the puppies. Boy was that a surprise! Clint usually takes care of them the most since I am working full time. I hadn't really spent any time with them since Sunday. They are in our office in the barn with the air conditioning right now. When I went in, one was walking around (a little unsteady, but going pretty good). All of the eyes are open.
Two of the little chocolate boys were real fighters when I was trying to put the syringe in their mouth. Couldn't believe how strong they were already! I had forgotten how fast they grow! Should be able to get some better pictures this weekend. My little guys are 2 weeks old today! We will be worming them today. Puppies get wormed every 2 weeks. We have never seen any worms in our litters and I am so thankful. Have seen some puppies full of the nasty things!
We have sold 2 little girls puppies. Neither have been picked out yet but 2 are spoken for. They are still kind of little to decide which one you want. So sweet at this age though. So, we are down to 3 girls and 5 boys. We are getting ready to move them to a bigger pen. As soon as their eyes are open, they really start moving around. I will be looking close tonight while worming the We took all the puppies outside today. Took quite a few group pictures with my grandchildren helping me. Really hard to take individual pictures right now. Did that one year, but boy was it hard! The little things are really putting on the weight now. Filling out real good! Real cuddly! We have sold one of the little black girls. If you are thinking about a black girl, I have only 1 left now! Let us know.
